Eid Al Adha Prayer Timings and Safety Protocols Announced in the UAE

Prayers to be Offered on Wednesday, June 28

Worshippers Required to Follow Covid Safety Measures

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have announced the prayer timings and Covid safety protocols for Eid Al Adha, which is set to be celebrated on Wednesday, June 28th, 2022.

Eid Al Adha is a three-day religious festival that marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage. Muslims around the world offer special prayers on the first day of Eid, and in the UAE, these prayers will be held in mosques and prayer grounds across the country.

The prayer timings for Eid Al Adha in the UAE will vary slightly depending on the location, but they will generally be between 15 and 20 minutes after sunrise. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and the Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosque in Al Ain will host special Eid prayers, while other mosques and prayer grounds will also be open for worshippers.

In order to ensure the safety of worshippers, the UAE authorities have announced a number of Covid safety protocols that must be followed. These protocols include wearing a face mask, maintaining social distancing, and using hand sanitizer.

The maximum period of the post-prayer sermon is limited to 15 minutes, and worshippers are encouraged to bring their own prayer mats. It is also recommended that worshippers perform ablution at home before coming to the mosque or prayer ground.

The UAE authorities have urged worshippers to cooperate with the Covid safety protocols in order to ensure a safe and healthy Eid Al Adha celebration.
